Renault Clio Renaultsport 200 Raider

Special edition Renault Clio Renaultsport 200 Raider gets an even edgier edge, matt body colours and 18-inch rims. Go on… treat yourself

Hot hatch fans will have to be quick if they want to get their hands on the Clio Renaultsport 200 Raider, a limited edition version of their popular little road beast. A limited run of 50 of these extreme Clios will be available to UK customers with the order books opening up at the end of this month.

At this stage, pricing and detailed specs have not been released by Renault but they have let us know a few tasty details about the 200 Raider. The body will be finished in a special matt paint in either Stealth Gret or Diavolo Red with black gloss on the roof, rear spoiler, F1-style front blade, rear diffuser and wing mirrors for a saucy contrast. There is also black gloss on the 18-inch alloy wheels, one inch larger than standard 200 wheels.

The wheels are fitted with Bridgestone RE 050A tyres as used on the record-breaking Megane Renaultsport 265 Trophy. There is a Cup chassis with a lower ride height, stiffer springs, quick steering ratio and red Brembo brake calipers. The rear side and back windows are extra-tinted and there’s a Raider badge and numbered plates too.

Inside, there are leather upholstered Recaro seats with a zinc grey finish to the centre console and fascia inserts, special floor mats and a contrasting white rev counter. Kit includes Bluetooth and USB connectivity, automatic climate control and a choice of the Renaultsport Monitor, which is Renault’s onboard telemetry system, or Carminat TomTom sat-nav.

As soon as we at TotallyMotor HQ know what will be under the hood and how much this bad boy will cost, we’ll update you.
