New Aston Martin V12 Vantage Roadster: yes, it's hot…

We never tire of the relentless carnality of Aston Martin design and the new V12 Vantage Roadster is no exception. It has made its global debut but it's not going to be universally available. In fact, it's a limited edition. No word on exact production numbers but with a £150,000 pricetag, you probably won't see too many choking up the Asda carpark.
But we can look at the pretty pictures and dream. It has a 6.0-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine, a six-speed manual gearbox and it pumps out 510bhp and 420lb-ft of torque. The 0-62mph dash is achieved in 4.5 seconds and top speed is 190mph.
It's an orgy of aerodynamics with a reworked boot lid and lower front air intake along with a modified rear damper set-up, new front and rear damper valve, new rear springs and Pirelli P Zero Corsa tyres.
Other saucy touches include carbon fibre side strakes, carbon fibre front splitter and rear diffuser, carbon fibre mirror caps, carbon fibre rear light infills, the option of carbon fibre fascia inside and carbon fibre gearshift surround – yes, basically a lot of carbon fibre… Oh, and a new forged alloy wheel design. The diffuser has a large, centrally mounted oil cooler and two big tail-pipe finishers.
There's also a new Sport mode button on the new V12 Vantage and V12 Vantage Roadster which enables the driver to choose two different powertrain modes. Normal mode is quieter and more refined while Sport mode offers sharper responses and makes a stunning noise.
