Nismo 370Z rocks 370bhp

It’s generally a mouth-watering occasion when the team at Nismo – the tuning arm of the Nissan motor company – get their mitts on an already rather slippery Nissan model – like the slopey 370Z, and this bright-white 370Z Nismo looks to have enjoyed the full benefit of their many years of go-faster, look-better experience.
The £36,995, 370Z Nismo tops off a refreshed range of tin-top 370Z models – starting at £26,995 for the 6-speed manual coupe – with the drop-top roadster with a 7-speed automatic ‘box taking the very top dollar spot at £37,945. Nissan are lauding the fact that their speedster range now kicks off at some £3,000 less than before, and your normal new Zs are already on sale. Nismo fans – no, not Nemo! – will have to wait until June to sign on the dotted line for their own tuned white wonder.
The 370Z Nismo gets a boosted, 340bhp 3.7-litre V6; an extra 14bhp over the standard car, a slicing bodykit, uprated suspension and brakes, and a thrappy sports exhaust. Sounds like a good haul for the cash and there’s no denying the Z’s comely curves.
It’s pretty much a safe bet that the tuners at Nismo will have done a fine job on sharpening the 370Z, with racing and tuning experience that goes back decades, and a quality of the uprated parts that’s hard to fault. Can’t wait to drive one.
