Throw caution to the wind-o, in a new Renault Twingo

Renault's newest Twingo is now available for test drives in the UK and the French automaker has described the new front end as "cheekier". Also cheeky is the new design language, updated bumper, front and tail light and the price tag of £10,350 OTR.

It goes on sale next month with the £10,350 pricetag buying you the 1.2-litre Dynamique version. If you snap one up this month, you'll be eligible for the Renault 4+ programme, launching next month and worth £900. This package offers retail buyers a four-year/100,000-mile warranty, free servicing for four years/48,000 miles, four years of roadside cover and up to four years finance. The UK version is powered by a 1.2-litre engine, boasting 55.4 mpg in the combined cycle with CO2 emissions of 119g/km resulting in nil road fund licence for the first year and just £30 from year two.

A cruise control and speed limiter are also standard features. From March, Bluetooth and USB connectivity will also be standard. Options include climate control, rear spoiler, electric panoramic sunroof, fabric sunroof available from April and two Option Packs. There are also eight different alloy wheel options. Also keeping things cheeky is a collection of five roof decals which can be factory-fitted to personalise the car. There are also cool colour choices for the wing mirrors and side mouldings. Spend an extra £235 and you can get an iPod-compatible radio installed. This allow allows GPS navigation and provides tips on how to keep fuel consumption down.

Around April, the new Twingo Renaultsport 133 'halo model' will be launched and we'll hopefully have some more details on that one before then. Renault has launched a microsite to demonstrate the customisation programme at www.renault.co.uk from February.
