APS announces Golf R upgrades

APS of Brackley has announced a selection of new components for owners of the 275bhp Volkswagen Golf R looking for more performance.
There are two stages of upgrades available, with Stage One encompassing a thoroughly developed ECU remap for £445, which includes VAT and fitting in an APS workshop, taking power to 308bhp.
On another level, the Stage Two package includes a Milltek large bore turbo down pipe, a high flow sports catalyst and many other new components. The upgrade is available for £1,999 and pushes performance to an ipressive 330bhp.
APS has also confirmed that a Stage Three upgrade package, featuring a revised turbocharger and 350bhp capability, is currently being developed.
Meanwhile, a survey conducted by Glass's has indicated that nearly two-thirds of motorists either agree or partly agree that electric vehicles can be substitutes for their present cars.
In addition, 23 per cent agreed that electric or hybrid models could entirely replace their cars at home, whereas 37 per cent claimed that they could be swapped for their second cars.
